Gregory Price Grieve

Gregory Price Grieve is a Professor of Religion and Executive Director of Liberal and Professional Studies at UNC Greensboro. A winner of the UNC Board of Governors’ Award for Excellence in Teaching, he’s spent over 20 years sparking innovation in the classroom and reshaping higher education. Dr. Grieve is a trailblazer in the study of digital religion, exploring how online worlds—from video games to social media—transform spiritual practices, ethics, and identity. His research often takes him to Nepal and beyond, where he unpacks the complexities of global digital spirituality. The author of five influential books, Dr. Grieve is also a public intellectual who makes topics like digital ethics both accessible and urgent.
