This project sought to improve understanding of religious responses to emergent rights-based social justice mobilizations in Latin American democracies. It builds on an earlier project, Religion and Violence in Latin America, and is one of four examining religion in Latin America led by the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies (CLALS) at American University.
